CLEVELAND -- It's just hours until the Cleveland Browns take the field at home.

"It's that time of year. If you're in Cleveland, and you can't get excited during Browns season, I don't know," said Allen Wohl.
You can find Friday's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles on WKYC Channel 3. Coverage starts at 7 p.m., with kickoff at 7:30.

Thursday it was the calm before the storm at Cleveland Browns Stadium, making sure everything is ready for the fans.

"Get here and give yourself plenty of time to get through the gates. We do have a few enhanced security procedures so we want people to get here at least an hour before kickoff," said Todd Argust, director of stadium operations.

Once you're security-wanded in the gate, stadium staffers say there's a lot to see.

Look for new local restaurant options on the Club level, like Michael Symon's B Spot.

"A lot more options than just your typical stadium fare, yes," said Argust.

You might also notice a new glow to the Dawg Pound's orange at 10,000 seats strong.

"The paint had faded over the years and started to chip a little bit so we have a nice new coat of paint on all the Dawg Pound bleachers," said Argust.

High above the field, they added new honors to the Ring.
"This year we wanted to acknowledge our championship years from our history, so those years have been added to our ring of honor."

But don't worry, they left room for more years to come.
Behind the scenes, WKYC sports crews are readying to bring the game right to your screen. It takes 40 people about two full days of setup and months of planning.

"The game is unscripted. Just like it is for the team, playing. You never know what's going to happen during the broadcast," said Wohl, WKYC's Production Manager.

"We're always optimistic at the beginning of the season, just like all the fans. And no matter what happens on the field, we always want our fans to have a great experience at the stadium," said Argust.
