LAKEWOOD -- The community came together to honor two people killed when a driver crashed into a street festival in Cleveland last month.

Friends and family of Mitch Andelmo and Basil Bass held a candlelight vigil in Lakewood Thursday night.

"He was a great son. He was a beautiful man, and I am just so overwhelmed at all the support," said Hank Andelmo, Mitch's father.

Andelmo and Bass died when a suspected drunk driver crashed into the "Dancing in the Street" festival on Clifton Blvd and W. 117th Street.

"I know he's okay. I know that may sound funny or weird in this tragedy. It's just that I know he's okay," said Lebron Bass, Basil's brother.

Constance Pokomy and Kevin Lett were also injured in the accident.

The driver of the car, 35-year-old Timothy Spock, is facing charges in connection with the crash.
