ZANESVILLE -- The woman found early Sunday morning with fourth-degree burns on her body and a rope around her neck has died.
Celeste E. Fronsman, 29, of Canton, died at 2:22 p.m. at the Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University in Columbus, according to Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz.
Lutz said the investigation continues surrounding Fronsman's death.
Fronsman was discovered on Ohio 208 early Sunday morning by a passing motorist, who stopped to help her from the roadway onto the grass while he called 911.
She was lying naked in the road, with a rope around her neck and her body covered in fourth-degree burns.
Fronsman told the man who stopped to help her that she had been assaulted, possibly raped and then set on fire.
