COPLEY -- Around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, an 8-year-old Fort Island School student says she was approached by a suspicious man as she waited for the school bus.
According to Copley Police, a male in a blue-green pickup truck pulled into a nearby driveway in the 400 block of South Hametown Road and motioned to the girl, telling her to get in.
The girl refused and the vehicle left the area.
According to police, the male did not make physical contact with the girl. She got on the bus and made it to school safely.
The suspect's description is very vague, but authorities are working to obtain more information.
There have been no similar incidents reported this school year. Copley Police have been patrolling the neighborhoods since school started this year using marked and unmarked vehicles.
