CLEVELAND -- Cleveland firefighters say four homes remain evacuated in the area of  Independence and Sykora roads.

A Cleveland Fire Department spokesman says a suspicious package was found in a mailbox.  Investigators are still trying to determine what the package was but say it was not an item that had been mailed.

The Cleveland bomb squad was called to the area initially.  At one point, smoke was seen coming from the mailbox.
