Columbus, OH -- Braxton Miller ran for three touchdowns and threw for another score, leading 14th-ranked Ohio State to a 31-16 victory over UCF at the Horseshoe.
Miller finished with 141 yards on 27 carries, a week after setting a school record for quarterbacks with 161 yards rushing against Miami-Ohio. On Saturday, he also completed 18-of-24 passes for 155 yards.
The Buckeyes (2-0) again shook off a sluggish start. Last week, Ohio State trailed 3-0 after the first quarter before rolling the rest of the way in 56-10 rout. UCF had this game tied at 10-10 in the second quarter before Ohio State reeled off 21 straight points to take control.
UCF quarterback Blake Bortles threw for 249 yards with a pair of touchdowns, but was also intercepted three times. Storm Johnson added 75 yards on the ground for the Knights (1-1), who were was coming off a 56-14 victory over Akron in their opener.
