SANDUSKY -- The bodies of a mother and her two children were found in a house on John Street in Sandusky on Saturday.

The woman has been identified as Heather Jackson.

Sandusky police responded to a call around 6:30 p.m. at a house on John Street in reference to a well-being check.

Upon arrival, officers found a dead woman, approximately 23.

They also found two children in a closet, approximately ages 3 and 18 months.

According to police, the deaths are being considered as suspicious in nature.

Throughout the day on Sunday, many in the community brought toys to the house.

Later in the evening, a candlelight vigil will be held for Heather and her children.
