CHARDON -- A judge has ruled that T.J. Lane be transferred to an adult jail.
Lane, 17, has been held in a juvenile facility since a February 27 shooting at Chardon High School. Three students were killed and three other injured in the shootings.
Lane will turn 18 on September 19.
As a result, Geauga County Common Pleas Judge David Fuhry has ruled that Lane should be moved out of the juvenile facility to the Geauga County Safety Center.
The transfer will take place on September 24.
The defense has untill then to prove to the court such a move would be detrimental to their client's defense.
Trial is set for November 26.
