MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis - Kohl's say it will hire more than 52,000 people to fill temporary positions this holiday season. It's a 10-percent jump from 2011.

Kohl's says it plans to hire, on average, 41 associates per store to help during the holiday shopping season.

The company operates 1,146 stores in 49 states. Kohl's also plans to hire 5,700 seasonal workers at its distribution centers and credit operations.
