MASSILLON -- The Massillon Fire Department has announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a playground fire that caused $80,000 in damages.

The fire was started Sunday night in Shriver Park on Third Street.
Witnesses reported seeing four juveniles in the park at the time of the fire which was set just after 6:30 p.m.
Those witnesses told police the juveniles set a sofa on fire on a basketball court.
The kids were gone before police arrived.
A short time later, police received another call saying the same kids had set another sofa on fire underneath the slide of the playground causing significant damage.
