WICKLIFFE -- Firefighters had to extricate a Willoughby woman from her car Friday morning.
Just after 7:30 a.m. Friday, an 18-year-old woman from Willoughby was traveling in her car northbound on Rush Road at a high rate of speed.
She drove off of the right side of the roadway and struck a tree in front of 1883 Rush.
The vehicle then landed on its roof in the northbound lane.
She had to be extracted from the vehicle by Wickliffe Fire personnel, and was taken to Lake West Hospital.
She was later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center by LifeFlight where her condition is unknown.
