We see what's trending in tonight's Hot Topics.

It's a serious plea made in a most unusual way. One Florida woman made a unique plea to the president this week. She's facing foreclosure and needs help saving her home so she put her message on her roof, hoping the president might see it as he flew in for a campaign stop. No word yet if it worked.

Here's something you don't see every day -- rare gems. Fifty-six rare pink diamonds, two red diamonds and 19 lots of blue diamonds all on display at a private sale in Hong Kong. Two heirloom pieces with multi-million dollar price tags were also showcased. A Canadian buyer said rarity was the most important factor in today's gem and jewelry market.

A man caught on videotape stealing meat should have thought about what he was wearing. The suspect's name was on his shirt. Surveillance cameras show he was wearing a softball shirt with the number '38' and the name "Schilling" on the back. Police say they used this grocery store video to identify Billy Schilling as their suspect. He was arrested.
