CHARDON -- Attorneys for accused Chardon shooter T.J. Lane have filed motions with the court to allow mental health experts to visit him in jail.

Lane turned 18 last week and was moved this week to the Geauga County Safety Center in Chardon, an adult facility, from a juvenile facility.

The visits are, according to the attorneys' motions, for Lane and his attorneys to prepare his defense for his trial that is scheduled to start Nov. 26.

Lane is accused of killing three students and injuring three others when he opened fire in the cafeteria on Feb. 27.
