AKRON -- Police are investigating a series of robberies that happened throughout the weekend.
The first occurred around 7:30 a.m. Saturday as a 48-year-old woman was attacked and robbed of her cell phone.
According to Akron Police, the victim just got off the bus at Brown Street and East South Street and started walking when a male approached her. The man reportedly walked with her for a few minutes before punching her in the face and knocked her down. Police say the suspect then grabbed the victim's cell phone out of her purse and fled the scene.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
The second crime happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday as a 23-year-old man faced two masked wannabe robbers at gunpoint.
Akron Police say the victim had just parked his car in a lot in the 800 block of West Market Street when two males in a gold vehicle next to his pulled masks over their faces. The suspects approached his vehicle, one of them opened the passenger side door and pointed a gun in his direction.
The victim, a carry-concealed permit holder, pulled out his gun and pointed it at the suspect. Both men then ran back to their vehicle and fled the scene empty handed.
The third robbery happened at 8:30 p.m. Sunday when a Domino's Pizza delivery driver was robbed in the 700 block of Hazel Street.
Akron Police say the driver was approached by two males as he was walking back to his car. They reportedly demanded his property and money before one suspect punched him in the face. The suspects threatened to punch him again if he didn't turn over his belongings.
According to police, he handed over $40 in cash and the suspects fled.
No arrests have been made in any of these three crimes. Anybody with information in any of the incidents is asked to contact the Akron Police Department.
