MT. ETNA, Italy - Italy's Mount Etna is rumbling, but experts say the volcano isn't likely to erupt this time.
Scientists have registered activity this week in a recently opened crater.
Seismologists on Friday said the activity was accompanied by a slight increase in volcanic shaking.
Mount etna is europe's tallest, active volcano and has seen nine eruptive events this year.
Scientists at the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology recorded 18 eruptions last year.
