CLEVELAND -- On the last day to register to vote in the November election, thousands cast their ballots early.
The Board of Elections stayed open until 9 p.m. so people could register.
Election day is Nov. 6; one month away.
By law, all voters must be registered 28 days in advance.
A total of 3,748 people voted in-house at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Tuesday.
That early voting number is drastically greater than on this day in 2008, when just 490 people voted early.
Cuyahoga County has added 38,366 registered voters since August first, bringing the county's total number of potential voters to 920,639.
