EASTLAKE -- Police say an Eastlake woman was burglarizing homes by pushing the window air-conditioning units out and climbing inside.
On Monday, police arrested Kristin Swietyniowski, 23, of Eastlake, for burglary and attempted burglary. She was arraigned Tuesday on one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
On Tuesday, she was arraigned in Willoughby Municipal Court and police say she will face several more counts of burglary counts as the investigation progresses.
She is currently being held in the Lake County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
Police say Swietyniowski had tried to burglarize a home and was seen by the home's resident, who was able to give responding police officers a good description of her.
Eastlake detectives responded to Swietyniowski's residence, which was nearby, within minutes and placed her into custody.
A backpack along with some recovered jewelry was located with Swietynoiwski. Much of the jewelry from several other burglaries has not been recovered.
It is unknown at this time what has happened to it, police said.
