CLEVELAND -- An overnight police standoff at a home on Cleveland's east side ended peacefully early Thursday morning, but two children were inside the house the entire time.
SWAT forces were called to a home in the 6600 block of Hosmer Avenue early Thursday morning after a man fired shots at police and locked himself inside of a home.
The standoff began at about 12:40 a.m.
A witness says the suspect later fired additional shots from the top floor of the home.
The standoff started as a domestic altercation between a 27-year-old boyfriend, his girlfriend and the father of the girlfriend's child, sources tell Channel 3 News.
The girlfriend and father of the girlfriend's child both left the home before the standoff began.
The 18-month-old and 5-year-old children in the home were reportedly not harmed.
No injuries were reported.
