Nearly three dozen passengers are still trapped today (Friday) on a ferry stranded off the shores of Lake Erie in Ontario, Canada.
The Pelee Island ferry, named the Jimaan, ran aground Thursday afternoon.
Strong winds and high waves have made a rescue too dangerous.
Passengers and crew were forced to spend the night on the vessel.
Canadian Coast Guard crews and divers are on the scene, trying to figure out the best way to free the ferry.
This man says he saw the entire incident unfold.
Passengers will remain on the boat until the Coast Guard decides it's safe to evacuate them.
The boat is equipped with heat and food, but not sleeping quarters.
