CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS -- When Dr. Holly Thacker joined the Cuyahoga Heights School Board in 2010, she had no idea what she would encounter.
"When I joined the school board, I immediately had concerns in 2010," says Thacker, a prominent doctor in Northeast Ohio.
She noticed large technology expenses and ended up going to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department in 2011.
That's when an investigation started. The special audit found $4.2 million missing but, so far, no criminal charges have been filed.
Ohio Auditor Dave Yost has said that the money was part of a scheme by former IT Director Joseph Palazzo.
