AKRON -- Following a five-month investigation, the Akron Police narcotics unit recovered a half-pound of heroin with a street value worth more than $200,000.
Police say they arrested Michael Dandridge, 22, and Lavon Williams, 30, after executing a search warrant in the 1400 block of Gurley Avenue.
Dandridge, who was out on bond for a previous heroin arrest in Cuyahoga Falls back in June, was taken into custody on Gurley Avenue by the Akron SWAT team.
Williams was taken into custody during an investigative traffic stop in Cuyahoga Falls.
Both have been charged with possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin and possession of criminal tools. They have been booked in the Summit County Jail.
