CLEVELAND  --  The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland is honoring a rock music pioneer.

Chuck Berry, who recently turned 86, will be the rock hall's guest at the State Theater Saturday night in Cleveland. He will receive its American Music Masters award and perform.

Berry told reporters Saturday afternoon that he has written six more songs, some finished for 16 years, and hopes to release another album at some point. He calls the songs "the same kind of music" he has played liked "Johnny B. Goode" and "Roll Over Beethoven."

To mark the occasion, the rock hall has mounted a special exhibition with Berry's stage clothes, a guitar and his 1958 Chess Records recording contract.
