AKRON -- A resident of a home on Harold Street was beaten, robbed, tied up and had laundry detergent poured on him.
Police were called to the home around 8 p.m. Monday to investigate a home invasion.
A resident called police after hearing a loud noise on the first floor of the house.
The victim told police that two men confronted him in a bedroom, and one of the men had a gun.
The suspected wanted cash and drugs, and the victim said he didn't have any.
The suspects took $15 from a nightstand and made the victim take off his pants, forced him into the basement, tied and taped him to a chair, and poured laundry detergent on him.
The victim was beaten with a pipe and pistol.
He was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The victim's roommate came home and found his lock box missing with various documents inside.
