CLEVELAND -- Monday night, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, arrested Albert Andre Davis on the 1500 Block on Ansel Road.

Davis was convicted of first degree child molestation in the State of Washington in September of 1995 and ordered to register as a convicted sex offender for life.

U.S. Marshals received information that Davis was living unregistered in the Cleveland area since October of 2011.

If convicted, Davis could face up to 10 years in federal prison.

Davis appeared in U.S. District Court in Cleveland for an initial appearance Tuesday.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said, "The Adam Walsh Act was enacted to protect children from sexual predators. The U.S. Marshals treat all violations of the Adam Walsh Act as a top priority and our investigators work tirelessly to see these offenders brought to justice."
