GARFIELD HEIGHTS -- Relatives of Malissa Williams are aksing for the public's help with funeral and burial expenses for Saturday's funeral.

They asked that donations be made to the Malissa Williams Fund at any KeyBank.

The funeral is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Integrated Faith Church in Cleveland.  The family says the service will be open-casket.

Tuesday, East Cleveland Mayor and Safety Director Gary Norton, called the family to offer his condolences and an apology for the shooting.

As Safety Director, Norton oversees the police department. While none of his officers were involved in the shooting, two of them are helping with the state's investigation.
