ALLIANCE -- An Alliance police officer investigating a complaint of a stolen credit card didn't have to go too far to make an arrest.
An Alliance mother called police to report her 27-year-old son had allegedly taken her credit card without her permission. According to police, the son had purchased a carton of cigarettes at a Marathon store on North Union.
While the investigating officer was talking still in the store, the son, accoriding to police, came back into the store and allegedly tried to make another purchase with the same card.
