North Canton: Armed home robbery suspects still at large

NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Two armed robbery suspects are still at large Monday morning after robbing an apartment in North Canton overnight, police said.

Two men reportedly robbed a woman and her three guests at gunpoint in her Applegrove Street NE apartment at about 1 a.m. Monday.

The front door was kicked in and the two suspects ransacked the apartment, robbing the victims of personal items and any money they had at gunpoint.

Police believe the suspects used semi-automatic handguns in the robbery.

Officers searched the immediate area for the suspects and the Summit County Sheriff's Office sent two K-9 units to assist with the search. The suspects remain at large.

The victim's apartment appears to have been targeted for unknown reasons, police said.

Police released the following descriptions of the suspects:

1) Black male, between 5'10" and 6' tall, heavy build or stocky, wearing all dark or black clothing, a black baseball cap and hoodie

2) Black male, 6' or taller, skinny with a goatee, wearing all dark or black clothing, black baseball cap and hoodie.
