AKRON -- A repo man and a co-worker found themselves in the line of fire while attempting to repossess a 2003 Ford Expedition at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Akron Police, the repo driver says he was confronted in a driveway in the 800 block of Chalker Street by the vehicle's owner who was armed with a handgun.
The repo driver got in his truck and drove down the street to call police as the owner of the Expedition reportedly got in his vehicle and followed.
Police say the vehicle owner then got out of the SUV and fired several shots at the repo driver before fleeing. But as he attempted to drive away, the man reportedly ran a stop sign and crashed at Chalker and Dalton streets.
Responding officers arrested 50-year-old Timothy Moore on two counts of felonious assault and one count of discharging a firearm.
Moore was booked into the Summit County Jail.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
