SOLON -- Police officers went to 105 Meadow Lane at 7:56 a.m. Dec. 12 for damage to the home caused by a firearm.

Police discovered that a round had entered the front window of the home, traveled through the front room, and lodged in the window casing across the room.

The detective bureau was called and came to the house and retrieved the round from the window casing.

Detectives learned that the complainant from a "dogs at large" call the previous night had fired a handgun into the home and the round had caused the damage.

Police say Michael J. Rendon, 54, of Solon was issued a summons for improperly discharging a firearm at or into a residence.
