CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Fire Department investigated a fatal house fire on East 82nd Street, just south of Union Avenue Friday night.

Fire broke out shortly before 6:30 p.m.

When fire crews arrived, they confirmed there were flames and smoke coming out of the second level of this occupied home.

The fire department got the house fire under control quickly.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner was called to the scene and has confirmed that 7-year-old Jacob Hunter died in the fire.

At this time, the fire department is still investigating the fire cause and damage estimate. They've not released details on any other injuries.
