WILLOUGHBY HILLS -- The man that Metroparks Rangers found shot in the North Chagrin Reservation Monday has been identified.

Rangers said the man is Scott Schoeder, 25, of Mayfield Heights.

Rangers say that at 4:35 p.m. Monday, they were called to an accident eastbound on Ox Lane, just east of Buttermilk Falls Parkway in the North Chagrin Reservation.

They say a 1988 Chevy driven by Schoeder was involved in an accident. When they arrived, rangers discovered he had a gunshot wound to the head.

He was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died. Rangers said there was no evidence of foul play but the investigation continues.
