STREETSBORO -- Police say excessive speed is the likely cause of crash that injured two Streetsboro residents and a Kent man.
Police say that at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, police and the Streetsboro Fire Department responded to a crash involving two vehicles in the 8400 block of state Route 43.
Police say a silver 1991 Infiniti G20, driven by Nathaliah Carver, 21, of Kent, was northbound on SR43 when he lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the center line, striking a silver 2003 Mitsubishi Spider driven by Jeremy Braynard, 17, of Streetsboro.
Police say Carver and Braynard were both taken to Robinson Memorial Hospital by the Streetsboro Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries.
Kevin Jones, 18, of Streetsboro, was a passenger in the Mitsubishi. He was taken to Akron City Hospital by Cleveland Metro Lifeflight. His status is not known at this time.
Police say that although the crash is currently under investigation, it does appear that excessive speed may have been a factor in the crash.
No charges have been filed at this time.
