Three people were shot in separate incidents throughout the city Wednesday night -- with one shooting victim landing in hot water himself facing possible drug charges.

The first happened around 6 p.m. in the 700 block of South Arlington Street.

According to Akron Police, a 28-year-old man was shot in the abdomen by a male who had entered a back door and took items from a desk.

The suspect then fled the scene

According to police, the victim, who was taken to Akron City Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, was wanted in Medina County for trafficking heroin.

The second shooting happened in the 100 block of Miles Street around 7:30 p.m. when a 43-year-old man was shot several times after three suspects kicked in his front door.

Police say the victim was taken to Akron City Hospital for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.

Upon their arrival at the scene, officers reportedly observed marijuana and heroin in plain view inside the victim's house. After obtaining a search warrant, officers recovered 46 grams of heroin, 4,079 grams of marijuana and $795 in cash.

Charges are pending on the victim.

The third incident took place in the 2000 block of Manister Court around 8 p.m. when a 20-year-old man was shot after two males approached him on a porch. Police say one suspect had taken the victim's shirt while the other suspect shot him in the leg.

The victim was transported to Akron General Medical Center where authorities say his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

None of the shooting suspects from any of the incidents have been identified.

Anybody with information is asked to contact the Akron Police Department.
