WILLOUGHBY -- FirstEnergy spokesman Mark Durbin tells Channel 3 that power was restored by 3:10 pm.
The problem was with a transformer in a substation.
Most of those affected were in Willoughby.
The outage began about 1:45 when a transformer caught fire in Eastlake near the substation that feeds power to Willoughby.
There was extensive damage to the transformer.
