ROCKY RIVER -- Judge Donna Congeni Fitzsimmons found Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Peter J. Corrigan guilty of drunk driving Friday in Rocky River Municipal Court.

Corrigan had pleaded no contest to OVI and and stopping his vehicle/slow speed but was found guilty of both.

Fitzsimmons suspended Corrigan's license for a year, fined him $500 and is requiring him to attend Alcohol Rehab Center (OLAP) and a 3-day driver intervention program, according to court records.

At 4:30 a.m. Dec. 17, Cleveland Metroparks rangers  were alerted to a car that was not moving at the intersection of Valley Parkway and Cedar Point Road in North Olmsted.

The officer's report said that Corrigan was found slumped over the wheel of his car.

A Cleveland Metroparks ranger found that Corrigan's blood-alcohol content tested .152, or nearly twice the .08 legal limit.

WKYC's The Investigator Tom Meyer broke the story of Corrigan's arrest earlier this week.

When contacted earlier this week by Meyer, Corrigan said, "I made a mistake, I will take full responsibility and I will make sure it never happens again."

Corrigan's eyes were glossy and bloodshot and he had slurred speech, according to the report, and that Corrigan also failed the field sobriety tests.
