Eugene, OR (Sports Network) - After meeting with multiple NFL teams about their head coaching vacancies, Oregon head football coach Chip Kelly has decided to remain at the school, according to multiple reports.
NFL.com reported late Sunday night that Kelly told the Philadelphia Eagles he was staying with Oregon, despite spending several hours with the Eagles' brass, just one day after multiple reports had Kelly on the verge of becoming the Cleveland Browns head coach.
Cleveland, which met with Kelly on Friday in Arizona, reportedly abandoned the idea of hiring Kelly and were rebooting their search for a new head coach before the Oregon bench boss' decision was made public.
Kelly, who's gone 46-7 in four seasons in Eugene, flirted with a jump to the pro ranks last season and spoke with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before pulling out of the running late to return to Oregon.
