CLEVELAND -- An overnight accident shut down Interstate 90 West access in the downtown area and sent three to the hospital early Tuesday morning.
The accident was originally reported as a two-car crash after 1 a.m. on the ramp from the Innerbelt Bridge to I-90 West, right under the Scranton Road bridge.
Three males were injured and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Two are in stable condition, but one is in critical condition.
In order to clear the accident, police had to shut down the ramps to I-90 West from I-71 North and heading south off the Innerbelt Bridge.
The ramps reopened at about 3:30 a.m. and traffic should be flowing smoothly by rush hour.
