CLEVELAND -- The city says clean-up operations at the West Side Market are nearly complete.
In an afternoon release, the city says that the company doing the work, will be finished by February 12 with their portion of the project.
Once the clean-up is done, the city must still have inspections performed before the market can be reopened. For that reason, the city says the market remains closed until further notice. The produce stands and the market cafe have been open since Feb. 1.
The West Side Market has been closed since Jan 30. after a fire damaged the interior of the market house.
The city says vendors will be briefed on the next steps.
Cleveland fire investigators are still looking into the fire.
