CLEVELAND -- From chips to chicken...The Horseshoe Casino and Cajun food may seem like worlds apart, but not in downtown Cleveland
J. Gumbo's at 226 Euclid Avenue just opened three weeks ago. They're based in Louisville, the recipes are from Lousiana and, so far, this is not a losing idea.
Their food can be spicy but business is hot. Voodoo nachos and bumblebee stew are so popular, the restaurant has extended their hours.
Chef Brandt Evans' Pura Vida at 170 Euclid Avenue is seeing an increase, especially on the nights when there isn't a Cavs or Indians game.
An authentic Indian cuisine restaurant will soon open across the street from the casino.
And the leasing office in another building says they're in negotiations with several retail and office companies.
