CLEVELAND -- Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty says the grand jury indicted a Painesville man Thursday for stalking a Cleveland Municipal Court judge.
Court records show that Robert E. Dowd, Jr., 64, of Painesville, was arrested Jan. 2 on a felony menacing by stalking charge and posted bond. He posted bond Jan. 4.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. March 1 on the 12th floor of the Justice Center.
Court records show the judge he was stalking is Judge Marilyn B. Cassidy, 59.
The indictment indicates that the alleged offenses occured between Sept. 22, 2012, through Dec. 29, 2012.
The Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court records indicate that the main offense occured Nov. 7, 2012. That would be the day after the Nov. 6 election where Cassidy lost a Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court race to Michael Jackson.
