When Simon the cat was brought into the APL by a Good Samaritan, he could not stand up. He had a broken femur (back rear thigh bone) on the left side, a dislocated hip on the right side and a broken pelvis. He was a stray and it was suspected he had been hit by a car. He had two surgeries at the APL to repair his broken bones and was put on "cage rest" to heal his pelvis. Through all of this he was loving and sweet. After several months of TLC and rehabilitation in a loving foster home, he came back to the shelter. He was adopted on Super Bowl Sunday in 2012. He has feline siblings and is a cherished member of his new family.
