Cleveland police looking for man for attempted abduction

CLEVELAND -- Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who is wanted in connection with an attempted abduction.

Just before midnight Monday, a man allegedly tried to kidnap a woman from the parking lot of 3778 W. 117th Street as she was getting into her vehicle.

A Good Samaritan observed the attempted kidnapping and scared off the suspect.

The suspect then drove off in silver Ford minivan.

The suspect is described as black, in his 30s, with facial hair, 6 feet tal and weighing 200 lbs., wearing a black hat, green quilted jacket and blue pants.

Anyone with information as to the identification or whereabouts of the suspect or suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-623-5725.
