AKRON --  Three men who responded to a phony ad on Craigslist offering a farmhand job in eastern Ohio were on the stand today in the trial of Richard Beasley.

Beasley faces the death penalty if convicted.  He's charged with aggravated murder and kidnapping. Prosecutors say Beasley murdered three men and wounded a fourth man who replied to the phony ad.

The three men who testified on Wednesday say they were not selected for the phony job being offered. One man said he tried to verify Beasley's story but couldn't, another was 6'7" and more than 300 pounds and the third had a martial arts background.

The trial is now its third day.

Other testimony on Wednesday included an FBI technology expert who testified about emails and the ads.

A teenage defendant charged in connection with the murders pleaded guilty last year and was sentenced to life in prison.

Beasley's attorneys say there is not enough evidence to convict him.
