CLEVELAND -- As the world watches for white smoke, St. Ignatius High School is planning a special way to celebrate the selection of a new pope.
School officials say once a new pope is chosen, an announcement will be made over the school's PA system proclaiming, "Habemus Papum" (we have a pope).
St. Ignatius will then chime its chapel's bells and students will be invited to leave class (if permitted by their perspective teachers) and assemble on the mall.
Once everyone is gathered together, a prayer will be held before white smoke is released from their own tower.
This whole plan, of course, hinges on a new pope being selected when school is in session.
