GENEVA -- Their relatives are stuck on the Carnival cruise ship and it's not the first time it's happened.

Dawn Stark is waiting for an update on her family.

Her son's in-laws are stuck on the Carnival cruise ship Dream in St. Maarten. It's anything but a dream.

She says, "It's intermittent power outages....no air. They're okay...stuff to do on the ship but people are getting a little testy."

This story sounds too familiar for Dawn. She was on a Carnival cruise six years ago for her anniversary. Here's how she describes that trip.

"It was awful. We had sewer backup in our room. They told us we had to leave our room so they could cleanup," she said.

You could say bad vacations run in the family. Dawn's family is hoping to be off the ship by Saturday and then fly home.

As for Dawn's next big adventure? In four years she and her husband will celebrate their 25th anniversary in paradise. They're flying.

"No more cruises. We're going to fly to Hawaii. No more ships," she said.

Carnival said Thursday that flights are being arranged for the ship's 4,300 passengers to return to Florida from the tiny Caribbean island.
