Cleveland plays to 7-7 tie with Cincinnati

Goodyear, AZ -- Omir Santos had a solo homer and Carlos Moncrief had a game-tying two-run homer -- both of which came in the ninth inning -- to help the Cleveland Indians play to draw versus the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday in spring training action.

The Indians will take on the Milwaukee Brewers tomorrow, Monday, March 18 at 4:05 PM ET/1:05PM PT with RHP Ubaldo Jimenez getting the ball.

The Indians are 13-8-2 on the spring.

Xavier Paul had a three-run homer and Todd Frazier had a two-run blast for the Reds, who saw starter Mat Latos last six innings and give up three runs -- two earned -- on six hits.

The Reds finished with four home runs and eight total hits. Cleveland starter Justin Masterson struggled and gave up five runs on just four hits, though he did strike out six over four innings. Cleveland had 12 hits.

The Indians and Reds battled to a 7-7 tie in Goodyear as the Indians plated 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning after home runs from OMIR SANTOS and CARLOS MONCRIEF.

JUSTIN MASTERSON (4.0IP, 4H, 5R/ER) settled down after yielding a pair of home runs in the first inning, allowing no hits over his final 3.0 frames. DAVID HUFF, MATT CAPPS and BRYAN SHAW (2.0IP) enjoyed scoreless outings and CORD PHELPS (2-4, RS), MATT CARSON (2-4, 2RS) and LUIS HERNANDEZ (2-3, RS) recorded multi-hit games.
