EASTLAKE -- Eastlake police say a North High student has been arrested and charged with inducing panic after allegedly writing a note claiming there was a bomb set to go off at the school today.
The department reported the arrest on its Facebook page.
Police say the student initially claimed to have found the note in a bathroom. The school called police and officers quickly determined the threat was not credible.
A short time later, police say the student admitted the claim was false. Beyond potential charges in juvenile court, the student faces possible expulsion.
