Attorney General targets Summit County sex offender

AKRON -- Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is requesting the public's help in locating a sex offender who is no longer compliant with Ohio's registration laws.

Deputies with the Summit County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for the arrest of Rashawn Britton on March 13.

He is wanted on a charge of failure to provide a change of address.

According to public records, the suspect was convicted in Minnesota for an attack on a juvenile female.

Britton, a sexual predator, last registered his address on 31st Street in Akron.

He has several tattoos, including "Gaffney," "Maddie," and "RIP Rob."

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Rashawn Britton should contact the Summit County Sheriff's Office or the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at 855-BCI-OHIO (855-224-6446).

The U.S. Marshals are also looking for this suspect.

Britton, 27, is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds.

He has brown eyes and black hair.
