GARFIELD HEIGHTS -- Police say slick roads could be the cause of a one-car accident that took out a utility pole in Garfield Heights.
Police say shortly before 6 p.m. Monday night, the driver of a blue pickup truck lost control while driving east on Garfield Heights Boulevard and hit a utility pole.
The driver was not injured and was out of the car by the time police arrived.
He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center as a precaution. Police say alcohol is not a factor and that the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
The utility company has fixed the fallen pole.
