STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- After more than 14 hours of negotiations, no deal was reached to end the Strongsville teachers' strike Wedesday night, a Strongsville Education Association spokeswoman said.

Talks broke off at about 11:35 p.m. with no deal in place. The two sides will meet again Thursday at 3 p.m.

Administrators and union officials were in negotiations with a federal mediator in Independence since 9 a.m. Wednesday.

SEA President Tracy Linscott said the two sides agreed they would no longer publicly discuss the progress of the negotiations until a deal has been reached.

School administration officials were not available for comment.
